| Team Tor 2000 is one of the top teams in the South West Region. The team won more races than any other in the South West during 2006/7 season. The team is sponsored by Setavento and ride Setavento-built custom titanium frames. Team Tor 2000 aim to promote and sustain a supportive and friendly Club atmosphere, to promote club identity in the local community and cycling as a sport in the South West. |

The official launch of Team Tor 2000 took place on the 3rd March 2007. The launch was hosted by Audi, Taunton one of the major supporters of the team. Boasting a greatly increased membership and a highly competitive race-team, Team Tor 2000 is one of the top teams in the South West Region: the race team won more races than any other team in the South West during 2006/7 season. The team also unveiled their new team kit and their new team Setavento custom made bikes.
A key part of the clubs ethos is to promote cycling in the South West and participate as broadly as it can in cycling events as well as setting up its own Setavento race series. This year the Club has added more sponsors to supports its ambitions. Team Tor 2000 is certain that 2007 will be another successful year.
Local businesses were very well represented at the launch. Among them Neil Taylor, MD of Overt Locke of Somerton, Andrew Maynard and Corinne Moyce of Taunton Audi, Paul Hazelton of Kalas UK Ltd, James Laurence of Setavento Custom Titanium bicycles and Andrew Crocker of Scorpion Cycles all being present.
"The club is all about participation, riding bikes and just having fun. If you are a recreational cyclist or a competitive racing cyclist Team Tor 2000 is all about inclusion and raising the profile of cycling in the South West" said Stuart Dodd, Chairman of Team Tor 2000. A new feature this year will be the Setavento Race Series held at Ilton on Thursday nights to promote racing cycling in the region.
The success of the club has seen all partners remaining involved in addition to some new names wanting to be a part of the clubs success. "It's great that we are associated with such a vibrant, inclusive cycling club as Team Tor 2000" said Andrew Maynard of Taunton Audi. Neal Taylor of local sponsor Overt Locke also stressed it makes good business sense - "It's not just about wanting to get involved with the club, we've seen a boost in our business through being involved in the club and the profile it gives our business locally".
The team will continue to be supported in 2007 by Setavento bikes, Toucan Systems, Kalas, Overlocke.co.uk, Kalas and Taunton Audi. |

Team Tor 2000 Take 2nd and 5th Placings & Best Performing Team > In a very competitive field Team Tor 2000 delivered another great performance. The race was over 56km or 14 laps around the exposed and blustery Thruxton Race Circuit. There were two races, the Elite,1,2 race – starting one minute in advance of the 3rd Category race all over the same distance.
Team Tor 2000 Take 1st and 2nd > Tor have won the Frome Time Trial, the opening time trial of the season in the South West. It was a hilly 10-mile course on a very windy day. Simon Breakwell and Stu Dodd rode to first place with a time of 21:49. Graeme Lackford and Doub Dewey rode in second place with 23:00. |

Team Tor 2000 Race Win! > 23rd September, Team Tor 2000 (Stu Dodd, Doug Dewey and Craig Broadway) took the team prize at last Saturdays Yeovil CC Open 10 mile TT. Stu Dodd placed a creditable third with 21.33. Doug Dewey did a sterling ride to take 7th making him the highest placed junior and second counter for the team with 22.18. Completing the winning trio was Craig Broadway, with 23.40. |

Team Tor 2000 Race Win! > The team of Greg Sandy, Graeme Lackford and Stuart Dodd won the 1st CS Dynamo 4up TTT—a hilly and windy. The Setavento team won the four-man team time trial with only three, having lost a rider due to injury. Dominating 17 other teams, their winning time was 56mins 43s —nearly a minute ahead of the nearest competition. |

Team Tor 2000 > The first team to be sponsored by Setavento is having fun and winning some races. So far this season Team Tor is the highest ranked British Cycling affiliated team in the South-West. Congratulations! Team Tor 2000 Race Win! > 23rd April, Stu Dodd wins his first road race for Setavento! In wet conditions Stu took the Norman Halewood Memorial Road Race, promoted by the Portsmouth North End CC, on the Forestside Circuit. Away in a 4-man break, and after a crash in the penultimate lap, they waited for one of their number who came off on the final lap, before sprinting for the victory." |
